Hello friend. It has been QUITE some time now, hasn’t it? I write with a heavy heart. As much as I write this post to encourage you, I encourage myself. I have been staring at this computer screen for the past month, unsure of what to right- how to write it, or even if I should. Do you ever feel like you have lost momentum? For some, you may have fallen off the wagon in terms of your goals/visions/dreams, or perhaps you have been longing for something more, but have not actually gotten started. This post is meant to be a virtual kick in the pants; one for you and one for me!
I recently listened to an old favourite song of mine, entitled, Meant to Live by Switchfoot. I have included the video below (as always). Enjoy the phenomenal intro, friend! The words of the song spoke to the depths of my soul something fierce, y’all. “We were meant to live for so much more; have we lost ourselves?” I have decided that another day cannot possibly go on unless I finally write this blog! And so, here I am. Tea in hand. Candles alight. Music playing softly in the background; mini IKEA palms blowing in the breeze.
Each new day is another day to change your life. You have what it takes: You can do this. Your passions or that deep gut feeling deep within that is calling you to purpose and life- THAT is what you are supposed to be doing! For me, I am supposed to write. What are you supposed to be doing with yourself? Let’s discuss! I found this quote hiding on my breakfast bar. I trust it will speak to you as much as it speaks to me.
“My dear, find what you love and let it kill you. Let it drain you of your all. Let it cling onto your back and weigh you down into eventual nothingness. Let it kill you and devour your remains. For all things will kill you, both slowly and fastly, but it’s much better to be killed by a lover.” ~ Charles Bulowski
Dream, my friend. Be encouraged. Choose today as a day your future self will thank you for. Be inspired.
