“Like Waves Upon the Sea, They’re Crashing over Me”

Hello friend.

It’s been a while now, hasn’t it? I think I’ve spent more time on those delish blue couches than I care to admit. I am a firm believer that everyone has a cup. When you are near the top, or your cup is overflowing, you are able to give out of that abundance to others, without having it take anything from you. However, if you are feeling overwhelmed, over worked and frankly, “sick and tired of being sick and tired,” then perhaps your cup is only half full or you are close to empty. If that is the case, then you have come to the right place! In my head, Vanilla Ice and I would be GREAT friends lol

Kick off those shoes, sink deeply into those amazing blue sofas. Sink your feet into that amazing foot back I have, and mentally take a break from life. How have you been? I’ve been feeling the pressure lately and so have a lot of others I’ve spoken with over the past few weeks. Tis the season of feeling the pain of life, my friend.

So what is it about your problems that makes them any different than what someone else is facing? Often times we as North Americans are quick to minimize our pain and our problems; “we aren’t starving in a developing nation, so our problems aren’t worth dealing with.” I’ve heard it all too often- mostly from myself.

You are important. If no one has told you lately. YOU ARE IMPORTANT!!! You have value. You have a skill set that no one else on this planet has. You have something to offer 🙂 I talk a lot about this concept in my book, 31 Days to Sanity. Feel free to check it out on http://www.amazon.com or http://www.createspace.com/5010253 Nothing like some shameless self promotion for ya 🙂

I am including the words to a song I wrote a couple of years back. Listen to them. Soak them in. You are not alone. You are enough. Be encouraged. As we all step into literally the busiest time of the year, know that you are here for a purpose. If you need help finding your purpose, or need a listening ear, feel free to send me a message! That’s what I’m here for, friend. caramelsunrises@gmail.com

Don’t Let Go- L. Burchell

He sees your heart. He’s calling you to love.

The trials, as overwhelming as they seem,

will ride out, majestically, like waves upon the sea,

created beautifully.

He hears your call, before you even speak.

You’re not alone, as alone as you may think.

He’ll calm the storm; He’s calling me to purpose and to peace.

Don’t let go. Don’t let go. Don’t let go. Don’t let go. Don’t let go.

He’s there. Can’t you see? He’s waiting patiently.

His love for you, relentless as the sea, abounding passionately.

Don’t let go. Don’t let go. Don’t let go. Don’t let go. Don’t let go.
